SUMMARY:2021 GFWC Illinois Federation of Women's Clubs | 125th Annual Convention
DESCRIPTION:Let’s BEE happy! The 2021 GFWC Illinois Convention is almost here! Due to continuing concerns related to COVID-19 and current state restrictions\, as well as the safety of our members\, the 125th Annual GFWC Illinois Convention business session will be held virtually on May 1st via Zoom. The Convention is open to all GFWC Illinois members.  \nPer our normal practice\, a $25 registration fee will be required ($35 if you register after April 15). The registration fee covers the May 1st business session and Friday Fun Night\, as well as the Deb’s Diamond Divas and Organization of Past State Board Members of the GFWC IL Federation of Women’s Clubs meetings. Please note that you must register for ALL events you are planning to attend — even the events that are free — so that we can e-mail you the applicable Zoom links ahead of time. Don’t delay – register today!

DESCRIPTION:24th Annual GFWC Illinois \nBlue Ribbon Fundraiser\nA “No Fashions” Fashion Show\nOur Promise: A Safe Place for Every Child\nJoin us in keeping “OUR PROMISE” alive from the safety of your home. Watch how we can prove that LESS IS MORE!\nThe Blue Ribbon Fashion Show Committee has an answer to Coronavirus cancelling\, once again\, our beautiful April event\, while still being able to continue our much needed support of the work of Prevent Child Abuse\, Illinois. If we could\, we would so very much LOVE to see your face\, in person\, at Bolingbrook Country Club when spring fills the air… but since we cannot gather that big of a crowd yet\, socially… we came up with a plan. \nFirst\, Bolingbrook Country Club is returning our deposit to us\, which will become a donation directly to PCA\, ILLINOIS. With that in mind\, we thought\, “Let’s just imagine ourselves having a “NO FASHIONS” Fashion Show and Luncheon!” The beauty of it all is that the money we will save from producing the actual event can become a 100% DONATION to PCA Illinois. As you can imagine\, because of the pandemic\, the need for the wonderful work PCA does has increased greatly\, and their ability to fundraise has decreased proportionately. We\, GFWC Illinois\, have an opportunity to make a real difference here. \nWe would like to ask you to still “purchase a ticket” to this year’s Blue Ribbon Fundraiser for the same amount as last year’s show and luncheon – $50.00. With no fashions\, no luncheon\, no travel\, no raffle prizes to donate or tickets to buy…truly NO EXPENSE of being there in person… WE CAN STILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! We can keep “OUR PROMISE: A SAFE PLACE FOR EVERY CHILD”. \nTraditionally\, we have Clubs and Districts who generously donate to the success of The Blue Ribbon\, and we welcome\, again this year\, that wonderful support. Some donations have already been made to use as “raffle” prizes this year\, and the Committee has chosen to use 5 of these\, instead\, as “NO DOOR” Door Prizes. The name of every person who donates $50.00 will go into a drawing\, and the same incentive applies for Clubs and Districts. For every additional $50.00 donated\, an additional entry and chance to win one of the prizes goes into the pot! Friends and family\, as always\, are invited to “ATTEND” and their names will go into the pot as well.
