The official club year has begun!! It’s time for the GFWC Illinois Board of Directors to meet and begin the sharing and dissemination of information our clubs and club members need. Consider coming early and explore all that Princeton has to offer. Historical buildings, covered bridges, barn quilts throughout Bureau County, unique shopping opportunities and lots of good places to eat!
All Board members are expected to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please send an email to our Secretary, Joanne Meyer. Deadline for notification and reports: October 22, 2016.
The hotel is AmericInn and the meeting venue is in Wise Guys Restaurant and they share a parking lot.
For those of you planning to come down Friday night, we will do a optional Service Project immediately following dinner. See the last page of the GFWC IL CALL for a detailed explanation. However in short, we will be putting together baskets of kitchen essentials that the residences of Freedom House (a domestic violence shelter in Princeton) can take with them when they are ready for their “New Beginning”. Our goal is to make ten (10) baskets full of good quality items.
In order to make sure we have a good variety of items, we have suggested the item(s) that we would like you to bring based on your position. Since we are doing this in lieu of a Secret Sister Gift, we would hope that you would spend around $15. Please see below for the suggestions:
This is optional! However, Directors, if you are unable to contribute please let Cherie know and Chairmen, please let Loretta know by October 15th. This will enable us to fill in the gaps, prior to the meeting. Thank you all!
